My name is Stephen Oghenerunor Ivwighreghweta. I am a penultimate year pharmacy student from Delta State University, Abraka. I love to write because for me, writing gives voice to emotions words rarely hold. When I am not writing or studying, I find calm in swimming and in the quiet rhythm of poetry. More like sitting beside a river without swimming, just to get touched by its presence.

The poem "TO THOSE WHO BREATHE FOR HER" draws from two personal memories, a friend who currently battles with respiratory disease and a classmate I lost in JSS3 who often clutched her chest saying she couldn't breathe. It speaks through the voice of a grieving mother, whose child died not only from illness but from the failure of her environment. It is a thank you to those who plant trees and a quiet plea to keep going because there's still so much left to breathe for.
