My name is Rejoice Nkechiku Ikejiaku, a young, dynamic, result-oriented, and productive penultimate year law student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with special interests in Commercial law and ADR . My piece is a poem titled “ The Guardians.” It emphasizes that humans have been chosen as guardians to protect the earth. Sadly, we have defaulted by allowing our planet to be altered through various harmful activities we engage in. It is a wake-up call for all. It addresses four environmental threats, namely pollution, global warming, climate change, and deforestation. Finally, it provides practical and plausible steps to restore our planet and build a sustainable world.
