The poem "Restorers" describes a generation that was taught harmful methods of using the earth by their fathers. They obeyed ignorantly without noticing the inflicted harm. Gradually, they started seeing the manifestation of the repercussions and the desire to seek help. Due to the failure and silence of older generations, they realized that only this generation can restore the earth. So, they decided to raise awareness and commit to one daily choice to mend the earth. The choice here extends, as seen in stanza 5, to dig a hole and plant green trees daily. The Restorers could do this to bridge the gaps created, out of their own ignorance and by older generations, and further reinforce their social responsibilities to protect the earth, minding their daily activities.
In summary, the poem emphasizes the need for this generation to make one good choice daily that can help restore the earth. The need for this action is to mitigate the Earth's threats to the ecosystem, saving the world for future generations.
