Ayomide Ilesanmi
Hi, I’m Ayomide, a 13-year-old student who loves to create art that speaks about the world around me. I care a lot about the environment and how our choices affect the future. Drawing and painting help me express how I feel about issues like climate change and nature. I believe my generation can make a real difference, and I want my art to be part of that change. This competition gave me a chance to share that message.

My artwork shows two sides of the world—one where nature is healthy and growing, and the other where it’s been destroyed by pollution and human actions. The middle shows Earth, and the triangle coming out of it splits into two paths: one side has green trees, clean water, solar panels, and people planting, while the other side has grey buildings, smoke, dead trees, and abandoned cars. I wanted to show how our choices today shape our future. We can either keep damaging the planet or choose to restore it by using clean energy, planting trees, and protecting nature. The Earth in the middle shows that it’s still in our hands—we still have a chance to fix things if we act now. As Obama said : “This is the first generation to feel the impact of climate change, and the last generation that can do something about it.”
