Hear, Heal, Live

Goodness Fredrick

My name is Goodness Fredrick, a Nursing Science student at the University of Lagos with a passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world problems—particularly in health and education. I currently serve as the Vice President, International and Community, at Junior Chamber International, Nigeria, UNILAG, where I lead various directorates to foster membership engagement and retention.

I am also an active member of The Green Club, UNILAG, where I have contributed to the programs team, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. Last year, I hosted the biweekly E-Waste Relief Foundation radio show on Yabatech Radio, using thoughtful discourse to educate and enlighten listeners on environmental issues.

Beyond academics, I am an entry-level product manager passionate about innovation, sustainability, and making meaningful impact through collaboration. When I am not studying or working on a project, you will probably find me talking, sky-gazing—or “plane-starring,” as I like to call it.

Coauthored by a little girl and her adult self, this piece transforms once-suppressed memories into words of art. It invites the reader to look, feel, and do better—to hear a child’s fear, a woman’s reflection, and a shared plea for mindfulness. Through retrospect, it retells a moment of crisis, hoping we all learn to tread gently on Mother Earth.
