My name is Imani Alaka. I am 9 years old and I go to Priory Preparatory School in Lagos, Nigeria. I love being creative and making things with my hands, especially using recyclable materials to help the Earth. I enjoy drawing, painting, and designing fun projects.
I’m also a young aspiring author and I love reading books they take me on amazing adventures and teach me so much. I hope to write my own books one day to inspire other children.
Every day, I see a lot of things that are destroying the Earth like smoke, trash, and trees being cut down and I want to do something about it. That’s why I was excited to join the Dawn Project Competition 2025 and be part of Generation Restoration. I believe that even kids like me can help make the world clean, green, and safe for everyone!
I made this project using recyclable items I found at home like paper, plastic bottles, straws, cotton wool, old boxes, and bottle caps. I also used colour markers, paint, and glue to make everything bright and creative. Everything was handmade by me using safe, reused, and sustainable materials. I want people to know that we can use what we already have to make amazing things and help save our planet.
I also created a video presentation to explain my project, and I posted it on Instagram. I tagged @dawnproject in my reel here: [https://www.instagram.com/reel/DMsg-DFtyz1/?igsh=MjQ4eGsya3JtdDZh](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DMsg-DFtyz1/?igsh=MjQ4eGsya3JtdDZh). Let’s all be part of Generation Restoration and take care of the Earth together!
