The Beauty Of Old

MERCY KEHINDE AYODELE

As a kid, I thought rocket science was the hardest thing in the world.
Now, I wouldn’t want to do anything else.

My goal is to bridge the gender gap in STEM while making a lasting impact on my community, nation, and beyond the karman line.

As someone passionate about protecting our planet, I aspire to develop sustainable innovations that reduce harmful fuel use and tackle climate challenges.

I dream of designing groundbreaking aircraft and spacecraft that push the limits of exploration, unlocking new frontiers of our universe and also being able to, one day, call myself an “Astronaut” too.

As a young woman from Lagos, Nigeria. I also want to inspire children ,especially girls, who feel out of place because they don’t fit the norm. I want them to know their dreams are valid and that they, too, can reach for the stars.

Beauty of Old” captures the grace of aging through nature’s quiet poetry. The dried leaf, though no longer vibrant, shares space and soil with a young plant, reminding us that beauty isn’t only in bloom, but also in what came before. The old gives way, supports, and completes the cycle of life with such calm elegance and wisdom.
