WATTWALK is an innovative solution that transforms pedestrian footsteps into usable electrical energy using piezoelectric technology. This energy is stored and channeled through wireless charging ports for small electronic devices. Designed for urban environments such as parks, campuses, and transit hubs, WATTWALK promotes renewable energy adoption, public awareness, and smart city integration. The project supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including clean energy, sustainable urban development, and climate action. Tested prototypes using different surface combinations (rubber–rubber and acrylic–rubber) demonstrate that increased foot pressure yields higher energy output.
