My submission focuses on empowering rural women and youth through sustainable economic initiatives, particularly in the shea butter value chain. By integrating ecofeminism and participatory action research, the project supports women producers to enhance product quality, adopt environmentally friendly practices, and access fair markets. It also raises awareness on climate justice and gender equality, aiming to build resilient communities that protect both people and planet. Through this, I hope to demonstrate that local, community-led solutions can drive meaningful change and sustainable development.
